After a long day of work, Rosa Parks took a bus ride home and decided to sit in a seat near the frot. Back then, only whites were allowed to ride in the front of city buses. After being asked to move and refusing, Rosa Parks was arrested. There were those before Rosa that refuse to give up there seat, but the day she refused was the beginning of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
